10.10 – DG’s Pre(xam) party

BEHOLD!!! The first Pre(xam) party of this academic year is already THIS SATURDAY (10.10)!!!

What is a Pre(xam) party? It is a traditional event where Data Guild students get together before exam week to study during the day (2-6 pm)… but PARTY or at the very least chill during the night (6 -11 pm)! As always, the guild will provide snacks and you🫵 will provide good company.

Moreover, for the second time ever, the prexam party is held in Gorsu! It is a very cool space and, most importantly, it has a sauna, so the party is going to get steamy 🚂 This will hopefully help you relax and focus before the upcoming exams. Don’t forget to bring your sauna gear!

Finally, for (maybe?) the first time ever we are actually following the age-old Data Guild tradition and giving out buns to recent graduates during the party! If you have graduated after February 2026 and want to get a bun, please fill in this form (otherwise you won’t get it 💔).

WHAT: Pre(xam) party
WHEN: 10.10.2026
-> 14:00 for those looking to study
-> 18:00 for those willing to chill only
WHERE: GORSU!!!
WHY: Teamwork and chill and snacks AND SAUNA 🧖
HOW MUCH: Free 🤑

Thesis Takeoff Group

Do you feel stuck with your thesis? Is it hard to stay motivated or focused when working alone? Do you need peer support and guidance to make progress? Join the Thesis Takeoff group!

Thesis Takeoff is a one-week thesis accelerator. The goal is for each participant to make concrete progress on their thesis and to establish a sustainable writing routine that will help them continue advancing their work even after the week ends.

The group will be held in Finnish or English, depending on the participants. The group is organised by Aalto study psychologists and guidance counsellors.
