Choir at HOL

Hi!

Do you enjoy singing and would like to do it in great company? Have you always wanted to try singing in a choir, or are you already an experienced singer?

The oldest academic mixed choir in Finland, Hämäläis-Osakunnan Laulajat (HOL), is looking for new singers! In our choir, ambitious music-making goes hand in hand with a lively and diverse social life.

Auditions will be held on Monday, September 8 and September 15 at 6 PM at Hämäläis-Osakunta in Kamppi (Urho Kekkosen katu 4–6 D, 5th floor).

We are also hosting open rehearsals on Tuesday, September 2, 9, and 16 at 6 PM on the 4th floor of Hämäläis-Osakunta. Everyone is welcome to come listen and sing along!

You can sign up for the auditions through this link:

At the audition, applicants will perform a song of their own choice, complete a short sight-reading exercise and a few melody tasks, and sing the Finlandia Hymn as part of a quartet.

Please also contact us by email at hol.rekrytointi@gmail.com so we can send you the sheet music for the Finlandia Hymn. Our choir is international, and exchange students are warmly welcome as well!
