Have you recently moved to Helsinki and haven’t had a chance to explore it yet? Do you spend a lot of time indoors because of your studies? Miss this salty sea breeze? If you answered yes to at least one of these questions (or even if you didn’t), then this evening outdoor excursion to Suomenlinna is just for you!

Built in the 18th century, Suomenlinna is a sea fortress located on a group of islands belonging to the district of Helsinki. There are six kilometres of walls, 100 cannons, exciting tunnels, and beautiful parks, as well as an open prison and residential areas. Normally, there are five different museums to visit in Suomenlinna, but unfortunately, they are currently closed due to the pandemic.

We will meet at 17.00 at Aalto metro station and head together to the Helsinki city centre, where we will catch a ferry to Suomenlinna. The excursion is completely outdoors and it might be quite windy near the sea, especially in the evening, so dress according to the weather. If many people sign up, we will split into several groups to keep it as safe as possible.
