1. Guild
We have a guild room now
You can now find Data Guild’s brand new guild room in the Undergraduate Center in room H021! Although opening times are unfortunately still quite limited at the moment, it exists and that is pretty cool.
2. Aalto and studies
The SCI study advisors are back in business!
Hi! We’re the School of Science’s new study advisors, Maija and Waltteri. Maija is a fourth-year student and a bachelor of Bioinformation Technology, currently studying in the Human Neuroscience and Technology master’s program. Waltteri is a second-year Engineering Physics and Mathematics bachelor’s student.
We help all of SCI:s students (Computer Science, TFM, IEM, Information Networks, Engineering Psychology, Quantum Technology, Data Science) with any of their questions and issues regarding studies or study plans, both online and in person at guild rooms. We can be reached via Telegram ( @OpintoneuvojaSCI ) or via email (advisors-sci@aalto.fi). Study advisor will come to Data guild’s guild room once a month and first time will be at 15.9.2022 15.30-16.30. But Maija will be in TiK’s guild room every Wednesday at 14.15-15.15 from next week, so you can also join there if you have something to ask!

Auditions for the Polytech Choir on September 13th, 2022
The Polytech Choir is looking for new members! Auditions for the Choir are organized on Tuesday, September 13th, 2022, at 5–8 pm at Maarintie 8, lecture hall AS2. At the event, you will get to perform an a capella song of your choosing, in addition to which your vocal range and pitch perception will be tested.

Glider introductory flights 2022

Dipolin and Polin appros are back again!

On Wednesday and Thursday of the first week of the Teekkari Tradition weeks, the dramatic arc will be lifted by Polin appro, which you can enjoy on two days to celebrate the anniversary year! You can warm up for Polin appro at Dipolin appro on 12th of October in Otaniemi. Tickets for the Dipolin appro are sold together with the Polin appro ticket, in which case the ticket is bought for one of the two days of the Polin appro.
Ticket packages for Dipolin and Polin appro will be on sale on the 28th of September in Kide.app. Ticket packages will also be sold live in Otaniemi on the 29th of September. More information about ticket sales will be published on Polin appros channels, so get them here:

Olemme Suomen vanhin akateeminen sekakuoro, jossa yhdistyvät kunnianhimoinen musiikinteko ja monimuotoinen hauskanpito. Etsimme laulajia etenkin altto-, tenori- ja bassoääniin, mutta myös sopraanot ovat tervetulleita!
Koelauluissa hakija esittää itse valitsemansa laulun sekä suorittaa muutaman laulutehtävän. Voit ilmoittautua koelauluihin laittamalla nimikirjaimesi Excel-taulukkoon valitsemaasi ajankohtaan. Ota lisäksi yhteyttä sähköpostitse osoitteeseen hol.rekrytointi@gmail.com, jotta voimme lähettää sinulle Finlandia-hymnin nuotin, joka koelaulutilaisuudessa lauletaan kvartetin kanssa. Oletko 18–29-vuotias ja haluaisitko perehtyä turvallisuuspoliittisiin kysymyksiin ja toimia rauhan puolesta hyvässä seurassa? Rauhanlähettiläskoulutus on tarkoitettu juuri sinulle!
Rauhanjärjestö Sadankomitea järjestää jälleen tänä syksynä 6.10.–2.12. rauhanlähettiläskoulutuksen, joka tarjoaa tietotaitoa rauhantyöhön, turvallisuuspolitiikkaan ja kansalaisvaikuttamiseen. Haku koulutukseen päättyy sunnuntaina 18.9.
Koulutus koostuu lähipäivistä Helsingissä (29.–30.10. ja 1.–2.12.), etätapaamisista arki-iltaisin, sekä itsenäisistä tehtävistä yksin ja ryhmässä. Pääkaupunkiseudun ulkopuolelta tuleville osallistujille korvataan lähipäivien majoitukset ja matkakulut.
